Senior IRB / IRBA Audit Specialist (m/w/d) in Berlin

A leading financial institution is seeking a senior specialist to help shape and further develop its Internal Audit capability within the IRB (Internal Ratings Based) environment.

This is not a traditional audit role for someone who prefers to stay hidden behind reports. The team is looking for a technically strong IRB expert who can challenge stakeholders, influence senior colleagues and act as a trusted advisor across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Lead risk-based audits across the IRB framework
• Evaluate rating systems, credit risk processes, data quality and supporting technology
• Assess compliance with banking regulations and regulatory expectations
• Develop and enhance audit methodologies and testing approaches
• Produce clear audit findings and management recommendations
• Work closely with business, risk and finance stakeholders.

• Big 4 Financial Services Risk or Audit
• Strong IRB / IRBA expertise
• Good understanding of CRR, banking regulation and rating methodologies
