About the team

Strategic Portfolio Management is a newly established unit, central to shaping our renewable energy pipeline and asset portfolio. SPM brings together expertise in market analytics, strategy, and offtake to optimise capital and resource allocation in an increasingly complex and volatile market. Through close collaboration across business functions, SPM ensures our project pipeline is resilient, high-value, and aligned with long-term shareholder expectations.

About the role

We are looking for an analytical and forward-thinking Energy Markets Analyst (m/f/d) to join our team. You will maintain and evolve our renewable energy market view, track external developments, and ensure that insights remain timely, relevant, and actionable. This role is highly collaborative, engaging stakeholders across the business to integrate both internal perspectives and external realities. You will also contribute to the development of market analytics tools and support the integration of new technologies such as battery storage into our modelling framework.

What you will do

• You will maintain and deepen recurring market and portfolio insights, ensuring alignment with business priorities.

• You will track policy, regulatory, and price developments to keep our internal market view current.

• You will collaborate with local and central teams to ensure their insights inform the Group’s market outlook.

• You will work with internal data teams to improve usability, automation, and scalability of market intelligence tools and dashboards.

• You will support stakeholders in applying insights consistently across key use cases, including investment models, pipeline valuation, offtake decisions, and portfolio steering.

• You will contribute to the evaluation and management of third-party market forecast providers.

• You will prepare ad-hoc market reports and present them to relevant stakeholders, including c-suite executives.

What you’ll need to succeed

• A university degree in Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.

• 2–5 years of experience in power market analysis, energy strategy, or commercial energy roles.

• Strong understanding of European power markets and key value drivers for renewables ( e.g., price formation, capture rates, flexibility needs).

• Familiarity with power market fundamentals modelling (merit order, dispatch modelling, curtailment scenarios) is highly desirable.

• Proven ability to work with structured market data and large datasets.

• Proficiency in Excel and Power BI; Python, SQL, or similar skills are a strong advantage.

• Ability to translate data into actionable insights and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, including executives.

• Excellent collaboration, intercultural communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.

• Experience working with third-party forecast and data providers.
