Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced SAP MDG Technical Lead/Architect to join our dynamic team in Germany for a long-term onsite opportunity. The ideal candidate will provide technical leadership in the design, development, and implementation of SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) solutions. You will be responsible for shaping the technical aspects of MDG projects, ensuring that business requirements are met, and driving innovation within our SAP environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Technical Leadership:

• Lead and mentor the MDG implementation team, ensuring adherence to best practices and technical standards.
• Provide guidance on complex technical challenges and oversee development activities.
• Ensure that the team follows defined development methodologies and quality standards.

2. Solution Architecture:

• Design and implement scalable and robust MDG solutions that align with business requirements.
• Define integration strategies for MDG with other SAP and non-SAP systems.
• Create detailed technical specifications, solution architecture diagrams, and design documentation.

3. Customization and Development:

• Develop custom ABAP reports, interfaces , and workflows to extend MDG functionality.
• Customize and configure MDG to meet the unique needs of the business.
• Enhance system functionality through custom developments, ABAP enhancements, and user exits.

4. Data Migration:

• Plan, execute, and manage data migration activities, ensuring smooth transfer from legacy systems to MDG.
• Ensure high-quality data governance throughout the migration process, maintaining data consistency and integrity.

5. Performance Optimization:

• Identify system performance bottlenecks and implement optimization techniques to enhance system efficiency.
• Monitor system performance and work with cross-functional teams to resolve issues promptly.

6. Troubleshooting and Support:

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to SAP MDG configurations, custom developments, and integration points.
• Provide day-to-day technical support to end-users and ensure smooth operational continuity.

7. Project Management:

• Contribute to project planning, including estimation of effort, resource allocation, and risk management.
• Monitor project progress, ensuring timely delivery, and actively managing any deviations from the plan.

Required Skills and Experience

• SAP MDG Expertise : Strong technical knowledge in SAP MDG modules (Material, Customer, Supplier, Finance).
• ABAP Development : Deep experience with ABAP programming , custom development, and system enhancements.
• Integration Skills : Expertise in integration techniques between SAP MDG and other systems (SAP and non-SAP).
• Data Modeling and Workflow Configuration : Knowledge of data modeling , workflow configuration, and managing data processes.
• SAP Technologies : Proficiency with SAP NetWeaver, SAP S/4HANA , and relevant SAP platforms.
• Data Quality Management : Understanding of data quality management principles and practices.
• Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills : Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Team Leadership : Experience leading and mentoring technical teams in complex projects.
• Communication : Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with business and technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• SAP MDG Certification or related certifications.
• SAP Data Services or experience with other ETL tools .
• Familiarity with cloud-based SAP solutions , particularly SAP S/4HANA Cloud .
