The Senior Consultant Discovery & Delivery, Performance Partnership Programme for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for assessing the need for continuous improvement and consulting initiatives to develop a strategic Performance partnership plan with customers and internal stakeholders. You are as comfortable at the VP level and above in hospitals and laboratories, using the right tools to enhance value stream business change.

This position is part of the Performance Partneship Programme Department located in Europe and will be fully remote. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Works alongside the Performance Partnership (PP) Principals to assess gaps in customers’ current laboratory service line operations and make recommendations to the PP Principal. Attend meetings with the PP Principal and hospital executives.
• A major contributor to the sales process, including executive presentations with executive clients, alongside the PP Principal and Beckman Coulter sales team. Build strong relationships with existing clients and new potential clients.
• Lead the overall project management of all customeraudits to ensure they are scoped correctly and ensure we can execute within the timeframe necessary.
• Coach and mentor other project team members to ensure customer expectations are met and to diagnose workflow impediments and provide expert counsel on appropriate advanced strategies employing DBS Tools to eliminate waste. Develop solutions which meet planning schedules and quality objectives of the client. Understand and define linkages between customer strategic objectives and process improvements, using both analytical tools and consulting techniques.
• Deliver diagnostic assessment report out presentations to executive clients.
• Help to create a draft version of a delivery strategy in each client account where an assessment is performed, including Statement of Work documents. Work with PP Principal to create a roadmap for deployment of Delivery strategy through tactical planning and execution.
• Collection of current state data points to develop proof indicators & evidence material to promote the success of the program. Work with teams to diagnose workflow impediments and provide expert counsel on applicable Lean tools to eliminate waste. Develop solutions that are aligned with objectives of the client and cost savings in all departments (logistics, inventory, schedules, etc).
• Develop and gain consensus regarding high level key performance indicators (KPIs). Use trackers and other visual management tools to ensure sustainment. Analyse LIS data to confirm customer volumes, test menus and validation of project implementation and cost savings results.
• Although this is largely an external customer facing role, assistance with internal DBS activities, including training of associates and such events like President\’s Kaizen, will be required upon request.

The essential requirements of the job include:

• MS, master’s degree, MBA and consultancy experience in Operations Management, Health Care Management, Business or Industrial Engineering. 10+ years track record of commercial experience with proven success in continuous improvement, sales or consulting including skills with Lean Management tools.
• IVD Lab Operations experience. Need to be familiar with lab organizations, workflow optimization strategies, understanding Hospitals like AP-HP or and Large Private Lab Network Groups for core, regional and other lab set-ups. Need to be familiar with test menu optimization strategies (i.e., running the right test at the right time), understanding Hub and Spoke models for core, regional and other lab set-ups, Inventory management, Patient Blood Management, Equipment Capacity and Staff Productivity to name a few.
• Experience consulting across large complex business systems and value streams regarding improvement plans focused on cost reduction and cost avoidance Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
• Background or knowledge of hospital finance, Laboratory redesign experience with skills in Lean Management and continuous improvement
• English and French or German or another European language

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Advanced skills in communications, training, consulting, influencing; teamwork across disciplines, regions, and cultures.
• Confirmed proficiency in time management and action plan execution.

Dans ce rôle, vous aurez l’opportunité de :

• Travailler aux côtés des responsables Performance Partnership (PP Principals) pour évaluer les lacunes dans les opérations actuelles des services de laboratoire chez les clients, et formuler des recommandations à l’intention du PP Principal. Participer aux réunions avec ce dernier et les cadres dirigeants hospitaliers.
• Être un contributeur majeur au processus de vente, en coanimant des présentations exécutives avec des clients de haut niveau, aux côtés du PP Principal et de l’équipe commerciale de Beckman Coulter. Développer des relations solides avec les clients existants et potentiels.
• Diriger la gestion globale de tous les audits clients afin de garantir qu’ils sont correctement définis et exécutables dans les délais impartis.
• Encadrer et coacher les membres de l’équipe projet pour répondre aux attentes du client. Diagnostiquer les blocages dans les flux de travail et recommander des stratégies avancées à l’aide des outils DBS (Danaher Business System) pour éliminer le gaspillage. Développer des solutions alignées sur les objectifs du client et conformes aux calendriers et aux exigences qualité.
• Présenter les résultats des évaluations diagnostiques aux comités exécutifs des clients.
• Contribuer à la rédaction d’une première version de la stratégie de déploiement pour chaque client, y compris la préparation de documents de type « Statement of Work (SOW) ». Collaborer avec le PP Principal pour élaborer une feuille de route tactique de mise en œuvre.
• Collecter des données sur l’état actuel afin d’étayer les indicateurs de réussite du programme. Collaborer avec les équipes pour diagnostiquer les freins et proposer des solutions Lean adaptées. Élaborer des stratégies de réduction des coûts applicables à différents services (logistique, inventaire, planification, etc.).
• Définir et obtenir un consensus sur des indicateurs clés de performance (KPI) à haut niveau. Utiliser des outils de suivi et de visualisation pour assurer le maintien des résultats. Analyser les données des systèmes LIS (Laboratory Information Systems) pour confirmer les volumes, les menus de tests, et valider la mise en œuvre et les économies réalisées.
• Participer, si nécessaire, à des initiatives internes telles que des formations d’équipes ou des événements type Kaizen du Président, dans le cadre du Danaher Business System.

Compétences et qualifications essentielles :

• Diplôme de MS, master ou MBA et expérience en conseil dans les domaines de la gestion des opérations, de la gestion des soins de santé, du commerce ou de l’ingénierie industrielle. Plus de 10 ans d’expérience commerciale avec un succès avéré en amélioration continue, en vente ou en conseil, y compris la maîtrise des outils de Lean Management.
• Expérience en opérations de laboratoire IVD. Connaissance des organisations de laboratoires, des stratégies d’optimisation des flux de travail, et compréhension des hôpitaux tels que l’AP-HP ou des grands réseaux privés de laboratoires pour les structures centrales, régionales et autres configurations de laboratoires. Connaissance des stratégies d’optimisation du menu de tests (c’est-à-dire réaliser le bon test au bon moment), compréhension des modèles Hub and Spoke pour les structures centrales, régionales et autres, gestion des stocks, gestion du sang des patients, capacité des équipements et productivité du personnel, entre autres.
• Expérience en conseil au sein de systèmes d’entreprise complexes et de chaînes de valeur, concernant des plans d’amélioration axés sur la réduction et l’évitement des coûts, avec des indicateurs clés de performance (KPI).
• Connaissances ou expérience en finance hospitalière, expérience en réaménagement de laboratoires avec des compétences en Lean Management et en amélioration continue.
• Anglais et français ou allemand ou une autre langue européenne.

• Compétences avancées en communication, en formation, en conseil stratégique et en influence, avec une capacité à travailler efficacement dans des équipes multiculturelles et multidisciplinaires.
• Maîtrise confirmée de la gestion du temps et de l’exécution de plans d’action dans un environnement exigeant.
