FH Internships (FH Praktikum) in the Medical Device Software Industry
About the role
During your internship, gain experience in DevOps, Requirements Engineering, Software Development, Testing, IT Security, Data Science, AI/ML or Data Engineering.
You will have the opportunity to work in close coordination with your BD colleagues in one or more of the following areas:
- Development of software components in C#, Python or Web/Mobile (Angular, React, Flutter)
- Evaluation of frameworks, tools, patterns (ORM, messaging, microservices, …) and their use in prototypes and products
- Development and maintenance of ML models in the domain of computer vision
- Requirements engineering and product ownership
- Development of new automated test strategies
- Tool research and setup of new CI/CD pipelines and MLOps best practices
- Analysis of data coming from medical devices and robots (via SQL and statistical tools)
About you
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor\’s degree (university or Fachhochschule) in:
- Computer Science (or a related field)
- IT Security
- IT/Engineering with interest in healthcare
- Healthcare with interest in IT
- Data Science and AI (or a related field)
- Successfully completed a minimum of 4 semesters (by the start of the internship)
- First hands-on experience in software development (.NET/C#, Python, SQL or Web/Mobile technologies), data science/engineering, IT Security, test automation or requirements engineering is an asset
- Detail-oriented, structured, and independent way of working
- Ability to analyze and think logically
- Very good written and spoken English; German is a plus
- Interested in innovative technologies in medical and/or pharmaceutical fields
