Your Tasks

In our group Future Imaging, we are constantly scouting and developing new hardware and digital solutions to measure and quantify how our products impact skin. It is our aim to expand our knowledge in the field of skin care. To this end, we are developing new imaging-related methods that visualize and quantify skin non-invasively, ultimately contributing to the development of better products for our customers.

We are looking for a researcher with a strong analytical mind who enjoys driving innovation in an interdisciplinary environment and wants to share their know-how, curiosity and commitment to the development of cutting-edge digital solutions with our team.

  1. You will expand and develop full AI-based analysis pipelines that process, analyze and visualize different data types (e.g. images, spectra, …) using Python.
  2. You initiate and develop innovative research projects in all phases and are the contact person for R&D laboratories, study conductors and other stakeholders.
  3. You establish and manage successful co-operations with international partners (e.g. universities, start-ups).
  4. You keep up to date with the latest technologies in your field.
  5. You enjoy sharing your enthusiasm for innovation with colleagues and are a strong team player.
  6. You support establishing new infrastructure (database, cloud-based tools, …) to drive company-wide digitalization.
  7. You are diligent in your work and have a strong sense of responsibility.

Your Profile

  1. Excellent degree in computer science, bioinformatics or physics with a focus on machine learning and data analysis. Master\’s degree and mandatory relevant work experience preferred, completed PhD possible.
  2. Substantial knowledge in the field of (medical) computer vision and classical image processing, as well as strong coding skills in Python.
  3. Practical experience in at least one of the following fields: image segmentation, object detection, image classification, image restoration, image quantification.
  4. Experience with frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow is a plus.
  5. Experience in project and stakeholder management (e.g. managing a research project from start to finish).
  6. Very dedicated and enthusiastic about research with a special interest in interdisciplinary work and networking.
  7. Fluency in spoken and written English and a good knowledge of German or the willingness to learn.

Hamburg/Germany is the primary location for this position. Therefore, we recommend residence in Hamburg.

Our company agreement allows basically up to 40% of the working time in a flexible work location in Germany. The exact arrangement of this agreement in the relevant team will be explained in a personal conversation.
