This includes all areas of medical affairs activities such as data-generation, data-dissemination and HCP interactions. Mid- to long-term the Regional Medical Lead will be responsible for building and leading a team of Regional Medical Directors with a specific focus on either brand or indication.The role is requires close interaction with local (country) medical directors with respect to allocated disease areas (Solid Tumors) to assure strategic dialogue considering local specifics and input as well as global and regional guidance.The Regional Medical Lead has accountability for the regional input into the global product and indication strategies and works closely with local country medical directors to assure alignment across global, regional and local strategies, messaging as well as tactical implementation.The role includes, but is not limited to:Direct line managementMatrix leadership in the disease areaProactive contribution to global & regional brand and disease area strategiesIncluding gap analysesIdentification of areas of interest with respect to ISRPublication planningRegional data-dissemination (e.g. company sponsored symposia, congress submissions, medical education activities)Regional HCP interactions / outreach (e.g. investigator meetings, advisory boards)Provide input on regional perspectives on the design of for company-sponsored trialsClose collaboration with regional commercial teams regarding pre-launch, launch and commercialization, assuring timely medical input and accuracy of medical / scientific contentAs a leader in the organization, the incumbent will be accountable to develop regional strategies to support enduring and compliant relationships with Opinion Leaders, Research Collaborators, and Key Organizations in support of BeiGene's pipeline development across the allocated disease area.The incumbent will play a key role in the establishment of BeOne as a valued collaborator and best-in-class biopharmaceutical company.Essential Functions of the job:Establish and maintain scientifically credible peer-to-peer scientific relationships with key national & regional opinion leaders in addition to other healthcare providersViewed as a Scientific Partner by KOLsFacilitate & monitor strategic partnerships with scientific/clinical experts and serve as an regional-level point of contact with organizations including but not limited to -Guideline developmentCooperative groupsOther (Regional / National Cancer institutions)Facilitate & monitor strategic partnerships with other functional areas within BeOneLeadership in the development and execution of clinically relevant regional medical meetings (e.g., advisory boards, consultant, and investigator meetings), as requestedDevelop, track, execute and report on goals and objectivesSupport disease area Medical Affairs budget planning and managementBe accountable for compliant business practicesExperience:Minimum 10 years of experience and success within other biotech/pharmaceutical companiesClinical oncology (hematology or solid tumor) experience; candidates with exceptional experience in other therapeutic areas would be considered if they demonstrated clear potential to apply their existing skills to oncologyHigh level of communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, organizational, and cross functional collaboration skillsFlexibility to work with colleagues in a global settingAble to engage in work-related travel approximately 50%Capabilities and Competencies:Impactful verbal and written communication skillsAbility to effectively collaborate in a dynamic environmentStrong comprehension of disease states, and knowledge of differential algorithms for treatment decisions and experience in disease states of interest to BeOneAn expert understanding of the health care delivery system, including the managed care arena and its impact on patient care, regional medical care and the pharmaceutical industry. Ability to identify the unmet medical, educational, and research needs at a local & regional level in the medical communityAbility to interpret key scientific data and translate the findings to meet educational and research needs to affect corporate research strategic activities/decisionsUnderstanding of the design and execution of research studies and strategic implicationsExhibits high degree of emotion #J-18808-Ljbffr
