Overview

As Country Medical Director Austria, you lead Medical Affairs for BeOne Medicines in-country, shaping medical strategies and ensuring compliant partnerships with experts, researchers, and organizations. You will align local plans with global and regional strategies, drive go-to-market activities, and oversee scientific communications and data dissemination. You will build and lead a team of Medical Associates, foster trusted relationships with opinion leaders, and ensure high-quality medical education and post-marketing studies. This role offers impact at the intersection of science, strategy, and cross-functional collaboration in a mission to fight cancer.

Verantwortungsbereiche

  • Lead matrix team and line-manage Medical Associates in Austria
  • Develop and implement medical strategies aligned with local, regional, and global goals
  • Establish and maintain credible relationships with national and regional key opinion leaders and healthcare providers
  • Lead local medical meetings, advisory boards, and investigator meetings
  • Collaborate with commercial, market access, regulatory, quality, and pharmacovigilance on pre-launch, launch, and lifecycle activities
  • Contribute to brand and disease area strategies through gap analyses, ISA planning, and publication planning
  • Manage post-marketing studies/ISR design, execution, and publication plans
  • Support cross-regional Medical Affairs tactics and stakeholder engagement
  • Oversee medical content creation for stakeholders and ensure GCP/ethical compliance
  • Budget planning and resource allocation for Medical Affairs in Austria
  • Serve as medical/science resource to Marketing, Regulatory, Market Access, and PV/Risk Management
  • Promote compliant culture and up-skill the team in governance and ethics
  • Travel 25–50% to fulfill responsibilities

Zentrale Anforderungen

  • MD Physician or PhD with 5–10 years in biotech/pharma
  • Experience leading a team of Medical Affairs associates
  • Deep understanding of local healthcare delivery and managed care
  • Strong knowledge of haemato-oncology and oncology; comfort translating data into education
  • Ability to interpret scientific data and inform research strategy
  • Experience in study design and investigator-initiated studies
  • Proven cross-functional collaboration across regional and global teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; English and German proficiency
  • Flexible to work in virtual/regional settings; travel 25–50%
