Senior Scientist – Lithium-Sulphur Battery Development

My client has recently received their Series A funding and is now looking for an experienced Senior Scientist with expertise in lithium-sulfur battery cathodes. The ideal candidate holds a PhD in Materials Science, Chemistry, Electrochemistry, or a related field, with 5+ years of hands-on experience in lithium-sulfur battery research. This role focuses on developing advanced cathode architectures and optimizing electrochemical performance.

Responsibilities:

• Develop sulfur cathode architectures using advanced material processing techniques.
• Evaluate cathode performance, cycle life, and stability in pouch cells.
• Conduct in-situ and ex-situ analyses (EIS, CV, SEM, XPS).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation.
• Document progress, communicate findings, and contribute to patents.
• Support scaling and commercialization efforts.

Requirements:

• PhD in a relevant field.
• 5+ years of lithium-sulfur battery research, with a focus on pouch cells.
• Expertise in sulfur-based cathodes and performance challenges.
• Proficiency in material characterization techniques.
• Strong publication and/or patent record.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
