Role Description

The Freelance Lecturer | Digital Marketing in Practice will design and deliver practice-focused digital marketing lectures and seminars to undergraduate and/or postgraduate students. This contract role is on-site and based in Berlin, requiring regular presence on campus for teaching, student consultations, and participation in relevant academic activities. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing course materials, developing case studies and practical exercises, assessing student work, and providing constructive feedback and mentoring. The lecturer will integrate current industry trends and tools into teaching, collaborate with colleagues to maintain academic quality, and support the college’s mission of entrepreneurial and innovative education.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in core digital marketing domains, such as online advertising, social media marketing, content marketing, and search engine optimization (SEO).
• Practical experience with digital marketing tools and platforms, including analytics solutions (e.g., Google Analytics), ad managers, marketing automation, and campaign management workflows.
• Demonstrated ability to design and deliver engaging, practice-oriented curricula, including lectures, workshops, and project-based learning activities.
• Proficiency in assessing student performance, providing constructive feedback, and supporting diverse learners through clear communication and structured guidance.
• Prior teaching, training, or corporate education experience in digital marketing or related business fields is highly desirable.
• Relevant academic background, preferably a master’s degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Business, Communications, or a closely related discipline.
• Strong organizational skills, reliability in meeting deadlines, and the ability to collaborate effectively within an academic environment.
• Professional fluency in English; German language skills are an advantage but not mandatory.
• Up-to-date knowledge of current digital marketing trends, ethical practices, and data privacy regulations.
