Intro .img – itai’s machine GmbH is the digital unit of the \“Berliner Verlag\“ publishing group. With our \“journalistic operating system\“ (.jOS) we provide a cloud-native publishing platform that serves millions of users by connecting to headless CMSs, processing and enriching content, and distributing it via web and apps. This helps regional newspapers to meet the challenges of the digital age: it facilitates reach, engagement, and monetization of journalistic content and integrates it with analytics and AI services. In addition to the publications of \“Berliner Verlag\“, we work with other national and regional media companies. Tasks Driving the continuous development of digital products (mobile/web) and the underlying platform, with a strong emphasis on features, integrations, and user experience Assuming end-to-end responsibility for the entire lifecycle of digital services, including the analysis of technical documentation and APIs Overseeing the integration of external partners and plays a key role in guiding the development team Defining product requirements in the form of epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria; prioritizes and refines the backlog in collaboration with the product team; and leads conceptualization, testing, and release coordination using tools such as Jira, Confluence, and GitLab Operating in an agile environment with close collaboration across departments – serving as a bridge between business and technical stakeholders, evaluating ideas and business impact to ensure effective product design and implementation Requirements A degree in (Business) Information Systems, Computer Science, Natural Sciences, or comparable relevant practical experience Proven ability to work independently in a solution-oriented and structured manner, with solid experience in project management and agile development methodologies Strong communication skills, with the capability to align expectations across a wide range of stakeholders – from senior leadership to development teams A collaborative mindset, a hands-on approach, and a comprehensive understanding of both technical and business perspectives Fluency in both German and English, ensuring effective communication in an international and cross-functional environment Benefits Contribute to our journey of building the best digital publishing platform in a permanent full-time position, available immediately (or as it fits your planning) Hybrid work model Modern tech stack Contemporary company culture with a high degree of autonomy and trust, close collaboration within the team, and continuous professional development Modern office, with a view, in the center of Berlin (Alexanderplatz) with all the usual amenities (e.g., laptop of your choice, height-adjustable desks, free coffee and drinks, team events, garage for bicycles) We are part of \“Berliner Verlag” a successful, profitable publishing group, with 80 years of tradition Closing Please send us your complete application documents, along with your potential start date and salary expectations.
