Tasks
- Implement and maintain infrastructure as code, fostering a GitOps culture for automated, version-controlled, and trackable infrastructure changes
- Design and manage cloud infrastructure for distributed systems, ensuring scalability to handle millions of records and users efficiently
- Set up and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines to streamline code deployment and ensure continuous integration and delivery
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure real-time insights and proactive issue resolution, maintaining system health and performance
- In an agile environment, you’ll work closely with domain experts, the editorial team, and the development team, benefiting from a strong network that supports you through all challenges
Requirements
- Strong intrinsic motivation and determination for personal development
- Proven experience in software engineering (3+ years), with a strong focus on building and managing automation systems to streamline workflows and enhance scalability
- Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure and distributed systems, with the ability to work within complex, custom codebases in large-scale, high-availability environments
- Hands-on experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code and AWS for cloud management; knowledge of Cloudflare and GitLab is a plus
- A strong team player who can actively collaborate, provide feedback, and contribute to guiding colleagues through shared development efforts and technical discussions
- Very good written and spoken German and English
