Show Producer

Show Producer

Dresden Vollzeit Kein Homeoffice möglich
BESPOKED

Freelance·£25/hour·Part-time (approx. 10 hrs/week, increasing around show)

About the role

BESPOKED is looking for a bilingual German-speaking Show Producer to work with us on a freelance basis from now through to our Dresden show — our fourth DE-edition, taking place 11–13 September 2026 at Dresden International Airport.

This is a part-time freelance engagement, approximately 10 hours per week during the planning phase, increasing to full availability during show build and live days (7–13 September). Hours are paid at £25 per hour.

You’ll work closely with our Project Manager to help plan, coordinate and deliver the show locally. You won’t be working alone — but you will need to be genuinely proactive, consistently reliable, and able to keep things moving, working to deadlines and without being chased. In a small, fast-moving team, those qualities matter as much as experience.

We have a strong preference for candidates based in Germany. Strong candidates based elsewhere will also be considered.

There may be opportunity for the role to continue beyond the show, depending on how things develop.

What you’ll be doing

Working alongside the Project Manager and Show Director, you’ll help coordinate everything needed to deliver BESPOKED Dresden. In practice, that means:

  • Coordinating local suppliers, contractors, venues and crew in Germany
  • Supporting logistics and production planning for build-up and show days
  • Managing elements of the run-of-show schedule — what happens, when, and who’s responsible
  • Liaising with exhibitors, partners, sponsors and contributors in German and English
  • Supporting health and safety and contingency planning, including airport venue access and accreditation requirements
  • Joining a weekly check-in with the Project Manager and Show Director (remote, scheduled in advance) and responding to project communications within one working day
  • Being on-site in Dresden from Monday 7 September through to close of show on 13 September
  • Contributing to post-show debrief and wrap-up

What we’re looking for

  • German as a first or near-native language, with strong English communication skills
  • Genuinely proactive: you spot what needs doing and do it, without waiting to be asked
  • Reliable and detail-focused: people can count on you to follow through
  • Calm and clear-headed when things get complicated or change quickly
  • Comfortable working in a small, opinionated, fast-moving team where directness is valued, and decisions can be made quickly
  • Comfortable working independently and across cultures
  • Able to commit approximately 10 hours per week from now through August, with full availability required on-site in Dresden from 7–13 September 2026

Useful but not essential:

  • Experience in event production, show coordination, or project management
  • Existing supplier relationships or venue familiarity in Germany — particularly Dresden or Saxony
  • A passion for cycling and familiarity with the handmade or independent bike industry
  • Experience working with international creative, craft or culture events
  • Translation experience beyond conversational bilingualism
  • Familiarity with Adobe InDesign

The practicalities

This is a freelance engagement. You will invoice us monthly and will be responsible for your own tax and social security arrangements. We’ll provide a straightforward consultancy agreement to cover the engagement.

Hours are structured in three phases:

  • Planning phase (now — end of August): approximately 10 hours per week
  • Show build and live days (7–13 September): full availability on-site in Dresden
  • Wrap-up (from 14 September): approximately 5 hours for debrief and post-show admin

Working hours are invoiced at £25 per hour and paid in GBP by bank transfer within 30 days of invoice. Reasonable travel and accommodation costs for on-site days in Dresden will be covered by BESPOKED, agreed in advance.
