• In the role of Cloud Engineer - Azure Local & Enterprise Backup Solutions (m/f/d), you are responsible for operating, developing and monitoring backup and recovery solutions in Azure, Azure Local and hybrid environments, as well as securing workloads and corporate data in Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online and Azure DevOps.
• You are responsible for operating, developing and optimizing our backup and recovery solutions in hybrid, cloud and Azure Local environments.
• You plan, implement and operate data backup and recovery solutions based on Azure Backup, Microsoft Azure Backup Server (MABS) and enterprise backup products.
• You ensure the backup and recovery of workloads in Azure and Azure Local, including virtual machines, Storage Accounts, databases (MS-SQL and Oracle) and Azure Kubernetes Service.
• You are responsible for backing up corporate data in cloud services such as Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online and Azure DevOps.
• You monitor backup processes, analyze incidents and coordinate their resolution.
• You carry out regular backup and restore tests and document the results in an audit-proof manner.
• You are responsible for monitoring, reporting, and capacity and growth planning for the backup infrastructure.
• You continuously develop backup, restore and disaster recovery concepts and support the implementation of compliance and audit requirements.
• You actively contribute to the development of our hybrid cloud and Azure Local platform.
• Completed degree in computer science, information technology or a comparable qualification (is a 'must').
• Professional experience in operating and administering backup and recovery solutions.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Azure Backup Server (MABS).
• Experience with Azure Backup for virtual machines, Storage Accounts and AKS environments.
• Experience operating and securing workloads on Azure, Azure Local and hybrid infrastructures in a critical infrastructure environment.
• Experience with at least one enterprise backup solution such as Veeam, HYCU, Rubrik, Commvault or comparable products.
• Knowledge of backing up corporate data in cloud services, particularly Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online and Azure DevOps.
• Experience monitoring backup environments and with capacity, storage and resource planning.
• Knowledge of analyzing and resolving backup, restore and recovery problems.
• Structured and independent approach to work.
• Fluent German skills at least at C1 level as the main working language (is a 'must'), good English skills.
