Overview

Junior Consultant – IT Controlling, IT Financial Management. We are seeking a talented individual to join our small team of experts in a fully remote role based anywhere in Germany, with potential travel to client locations.

BG&A is an independent European consultancy boutique with niche expertise in IT Financial Management. We support Global Fortune 500 companies across strategy to implementation, offering tailor-made solutions that align with critical IT investments and operations. Our services include financial project management, business and investment case development, TCO analysis, vendor negotiation, IT controlling, and more. We pride ourselves on building long-term collaborations, offering flexible pricing mechanisms and risk-sharing opportunities to ensure our clients achieve sustainable operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Support existing engagement through financial analysis, framework development, stakeholder management, project management and management presentation creation
• Interact directly with clients stakeholders and senior managers, build and maintain trusted relationships
• Contribute to the growth and success of the firm by working closely with the Managing Director of BG&A

Key Requirements

• Fluent in English and German
• Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint
• Exceptional analytical capabilities with strong communication, problem-solving, and project management support skills
• Capable of both executing and developing strategic initiatives
• Adaptable and open-minded in facing new challenges
• Able to work independently and efficiently, in a mainly remote environment
• Prepared for the dynamic demands of management consulting
• Up to 2 years of relevant experience in management consulting or related fields
• Preferred background in IT/IT Strategy with dual expertise in Finance
• Willingness to travel to client locations as needed
• Preferred certifications in Finance (CMA, CFA, CFI) and/or IT (TBM, FinOps, ITIL)
• Enthusiasm for joining a small, expert team
