ppThe Engineering Department at CERN is seeking an experienced International Welding Engineer (IWE) to join the Forming Welding Section (MME-FW) within the Mechanical and Materials Engineering Group (MME). The selected candidate will provide advanced technical expertise in welding and non‑destructive testing (NDT) in support of complex interventions scheduled in the underground areas of the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) and its associated experiments. /ppThese activities will take place during the Long Shutdown 3 (LS3), expected to begin at the end of 2026 and continue until 2029. This position is part of the High‑Luminosity LHC (HL‑LHC) and Experiments Upgrade, a major program aimed at significantly increasing the collider's performance. /pulliYou have a professional background in Mechanical or Materials Engineering (or a related field) and have either:ulliabMaster's degree with 2 to 6 years /b of post‑graduation professional experience; /lilior abPhD with no more than 3 years /b of post‑graduation professional experience. /li /ul /liliYou have never had a CERN fellow or graduate contract before. /li /ul /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
