About bikebook & Workshop by bikebook

At bikebook, we are transforming how cyclists and independent bike shops interact. Through Workshop by bikebook, our dedicated B2B SaaS platform, we provide bicycle workshops and mechanics with modern tooling to run their operations—handling live job tracking, transparent customer communication, digital service logs, and automated invoicing.

Having proven product-market fit, we are rapidly scaling our presence across Europe. Germany represents one of the largest and most dynamic cycling markets in the world, and we are looking for a proactive, results-oriented Business Development Manager (BDM) to lead our commercial expansion across the DACH region.

The Role

As our German Business Development Manager, you will own the full sales cycle from initial outbound prospecting through to closing deals and successfully onboarding workshop partners. You will be the commercial face of Workshop by bikebook in Germany, driving adoption among independent bike shops, workshop franchises, and mobile mechanics.

This is a high-autonomy, full-cycle sales role ideal for an energetic SaaS sales professional who thrives on direct outreach and loves seeing immediate value delivered to business owners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Outbound Pipeline Generation: Execute systematic cold outreach (phone, email, video, social) to identify and engage decision-makers across independent bike workshops and retail mechanics in Germany.
  • Full-Cycle Deal Management: Conduct high-impact product demonstrations tailored to workshop workflows, navigate objections, and close subscription agreements.
  • Hands-on Customer Onboarding: Guide newly signed workshops through initial software setup, data migration, and feature walkthroughs to ensure rapid platform adoption and low early-stage churn.
  • Feedback Loop: Act as the voice of the German market, relaying localized feature requests, competitive insights, and workflow requirements directly to product and leadership teams.
  • Pipeline Hygiene: Maintain clean, accurate deal stages, call activity, and forecast data within our CRM.

What We Are Looking For

  • Language Fluency: Professional working proficiency in English (for team collaboration, reporting, and internal syncs) and native/bilingual German (to pitch, build trust, and onboard workshop owners).
  • B2B SaaS Experience: Proven track record selling B2B software solutions, ideally into SMBs, independent merchants, or field services.
  • Outbound & Cold Outreach Proficiency: Confident executing cold calls, tailored email sequences, and multi-channel prospecting campaigns from scratch.
  • Customer Onboarding Capability: Comfortable bridging sales and customer success—able to walk non-technical users through new software with patience and clarity.
  • Self-Directed & Accountable: High level of self-motivation required to thrive in an autonomous, fully remote environment.
  • Interest in Cycling/Mobility: Genuine enthusiasm for bikes, cycling culture, or workshop mechanics is a major plus.

What We Offer

  • Competitive Package: €40,000 base salary + €15,000 commission structure (uncapped earning potential).
  • Work From Anywhere: 100% remote flexibility with core hours aligned to German business operations.
  • Work Hardware Provided: Laptop and home office equipment allowance supplied from day one.
  • Direct Impact: Be the foundational commercial driver in bikebook’s fastest-growing European market.
  • Growth Trajectory: Ample room to expand into regional commercial leadership as the DACH market matures.

Employment & Administration

This role will be employed and managed via Deel.com, ensuring seamless local contract compliance, payroll, and benefits management in Germany.
