BingX EU's current vacancy | Full-time | Long-term | REMOTE Responsibilities Utilize advanced automated surveillance tools to monitor 24/7 trading activity for patterns of market abuse, including wash trading, spoofing, layering, pump-and-dump schemes, and insider dealing. Conduct deep-dive investigations into automated alerts, perform forensic analysis of order books and trade data to distinguish between legitimate trading strategies and manipulative behavior. Ensure all surveillance activities align with MiCA and the associated technical standards set by ESMA. Prepare and file high-quality Suspicious Transaction and Order Reports (STORs) to the Regulator in a timely and confidential manner. Maintain comprehensive audit trails of all investigations, findings, and remedial actions taken, ensuring the platform is always "audit-ready" for regulatory inspections. Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of market abuse cases, from initial detection to final escalation or closure. Collaborate with the Engineering and Data teams to calibrate and fine-tune surveillance parameters and thresholds to minimize "false positives" while ensuring no genuine threats are missed. Perform regular "Market Abuse Risk Assessments" for new token listings or trading products (e.g., spot vs. derivatives) to identify and mitigate specific manipulation risks. Educate the wider trading and product teams on market abuse trends and the importance of market integrity. Requirements Experience: 5+ years of experience in Market Surveillance, Trade Oversight, or Compliance within a crypto exchange, investment bank, or a regulatory body (e.g., FMA, ESMA, BaFin). Regulatory Expertise: Deep understanding of MiCA and market abuse related regulation. Knowledge of Austrian financial laws is a significant advantage. Analytical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis. Experience with SQL, Python, or specialized surveillance software (e.g., Solidus Labs, Eventus, Nice Actimize) is highly preferred. Market Knowledge: Strong understanding of crypto-market microstructure, order book dynamics, and common DeFi/CeFi manipulation techniques. Language Proficiency: Professional fluency in English and German (essential for analyzing local market sentiment and interacting with Austrian regulators).
