Job Overview
A leading pharmaceutical company is seeking a Commissioning & Qualification (C&Q) Engineer to support operations at their temperature-controlled warehouse facility.
Background
The company requires a C&Q Engineer to manage execution and coordination of qualification activities for both cold and ambient temperature storage areas at their facility in Europe.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all qualification activities comply with corporate standards and validation plans
- Serve as subject matter expert for warehouse qualification (cold and ambient storage)
- Support qualification of key equipment including automated inspection systems, cold storage units, freezers, and refrigeration systems
- Execute commissioning activities for designated areas and systems
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams and external vendors
- Lead testing activities supported by contractors
- Develop validation plans related to project scope
- Maintain master qualification documentation
- Collaborate with various disciplines (HSE, Automation, Electrical, etc.)
- Support handover and release processes
Qualifications
- Relevant tertiary education or professional qualification
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet strict deadlines
- Minimum 8 years experience in pharmaceutical/regulated environments
- Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering preferred
- Experience creating qualification documentation
- Previous experience qualifying temperature-controlled storage facilities
- Self-motivated with ability to work independently
- Field experience in qualification execution
- Experience with pharmaceutical Good Manufacturing Practices
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Fluent English required, second language advantageous
- Experience using documentation management systems
