Joining Bird & Bird in Düsseldorf and strengthening our Marketing and Business Development team (MBD) as a Client Relationship Executive (m/f/d) means being part of a supportive and diverse environment where every employee is valued as an expert and an individual.

Responsibilities

1. Build direct relationships with clients by providing proactive solutions and managing expectations based on their priorities and objectives, emphasizing the added value of working with us.
2. Identify sales opportunities independently and create/manage your pipeline.
3. Present relevant Bird & Bird experts to clients and attend meetings in person.
4. Coordinate with the global client team, monitor industry and client trends, and keep the team informed using tools like Dun & Bradstreet, Introhive, LinkedIn, and press releases.
5. Create reports and analyze legal spend.
6. Implement effective feedback processes in collaboration with the client listening team.
7. Work with CRM and MBD colleagues to target campaigns, including events and publications, to relevant client contacts.
8. Support partners at client meetings and create customized documentation to help win new business.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent, with several years of experience and a proven track record in account management or related BD functions.
• Business fluent in English; German language skills are a plus.
• Proactive, committed, and a strong team player capable of interacting at all levels.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and project management skills.
• Demonstrates integrity, professionalism, and the ability to understand broader implications of actions.
• Familiar with MS Office, with advanced skills in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
