Context
Configuration Management activities revolve around product evolution, all along the product lifecycle, from initial design to in-service life. Interfacing with all involved stakeholders of the design, development, industrialization, and in-service operational support of the product (program, design offices, manufacturing, support…) to manage the technical definition of the product, and all modifications. Ensuring application of the processes that secure conformity of the product to applicable requirements, all along its lifecycle. The work shall be performed in accordance with SOGECLAIR’s QMS.
Main tasks:
- Participate in the redaction and update of configuration management plan
- Create and manage configuration articles in PLM tools
- Drive feasibility studies and coordinate impacted teams, to build the modification dossiers
- Prepare and host technical meetings and decision meetings
- Monitor progress of the stakeholders’ action items, and in general of the modification dossiers, from its initialization to implementation and industrialization
- Ensure quality and completeness of the technical and configuration information of the dossiers
- Prepare and monitor planning based on manufacturing and certification constraints
- Cross-check the work and be responsible for the quality of the deliverables produced, and upload it in the dedicated tools and databases to make sure it is taken into account by the impacted teams
- Setup and analyze indicators to monitor quality and progress of the modification dossiers
- Manage and validate customer configurations based on specific/catalog requirements
- Coordinate the technical solutions definition with design offices, associated documentation and reporting, all along the lifecycle until the dossiers closure
- Present the dossiers in decision committees to validate (or not) the launching of the modifications
- Analyze and manage configuration gaps
- Management of logistics and spares with the supply chain
- Attest “As-Built“ configuration is conform to requirements.
