Your Qualifications

• Master’s of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a Bachelor’s Degree with equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of relevant silicon system architecture experience.
• Architected multiple heterogeneous SOCs using modern packaging technologies.
• Experience in a similar/related role with a track record of successfully defining and shipping products in the server and data-center space.
• Knowledge of the latest interconnect standard PCIe, UCIe, CXL and UXL.
• Strong insights into technology, industry trends and leadership offerings in AI/HPC computing and networking.
• Experience driving sophisticated projects from concept to production.

Other

• Understanding of implementation of photonics circuits in CMOS process.
• Successful customer engagement on co-architecting customer specific solutions.
• Must be a self-starter, and able to independently drive tasks to completion.
• Proficient use of the English language.

The Role

Black Semiconductor GmbH is looking for a Senior SOC System Architect (f/m/d) for our photonics product portfolio. You will play a pivotal role in architecting CMOS (EIC) and photonic (PIC) chiplet solutions targeting AI connectivity in data centers and at the edge. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with engineering, product, and sales teams, as well as engaging directly with customers to ensure that the products meet customers’ deployment needs. You will also work closely with the product team to model critical use-cases and analyze the Return-on-Investment for various features, driving the vision for performance, power, and cost of our offerings.

To join our team, you should be excited to

• Create and document SOC/HW Product Requirement Specification (PRS) that includes architecture design, verification, tools and estimations for performance, power and area (PPA).
• Create and publish HW IP roadmap aligned with our technology capabilities and EDA/contractor IP offerings.
• Partner with our customers to develop Customer Requirement Document (CRD).
• Create SOC/HW concept and feasibility documents that describe the solution space explored and recommendation on final architecture.
• Partner with product team to define and document use cases and validation plans.
