Executive Director – Head of Accounting & Reporting (gn)
We are looking for an Executive Director – Head of Accounting & Reporting (gn) for a leading corporate and investment bank with its European headquarters in Frankfurt. The role will also function as Deputy Head of Finance.
The Head of Accounting & Reporting (gn) will lead the group and is responsible for managing and developing all aspects of financial accounting and reporting operations across the Firm.
TASKS
- Lead several teams of senior experts
- Act as Deputy Head of Finance
- Oversee complete, timely and accurate monthly reporting with appropriate governance
- Oversee the New Product Governance and Accounting regulation horizon scanning processes
- Provide guidance to senior management on complex structure with respect to financial statements impact
- Oversee hedge Accounting and derivatives processes
- Oversee IFRS 9 related processes, specifically related to IFRS 9 provisions in coordination with credit risk
- Coordinate the financial closing and the annual audit
- Provide sign off on Finrep submissions and ensure consistency with Financial Statements
REQUIREMENTS
- Experience in heading a finance team/function within an international Financial Institution
- Good influencing and communication skills with the ability to provide explanations in a clear and precise way
- Strong technical knowledge across accounting and in particular local GAAP and IFRS as well as legislation/rules including trading business and corporate lending business
- Experience with ECB / EBA is highly desirable
- Excellent written and oral English skills; German would be a plus
