Job Title – Head of Engineering

Blackfield Associates are currently supporting a prestigious construction/engineering specialist with a project for a highly recognised pharmaceutical company to recruit a Head of Engineering.

Responsibilities:

• Lead Engineering Team: Manage biopharma production, QC, operations.
• Ensure Business Continuity: Develop short, mid, long-term roadmaps.
• Critical Process Assessment: Identify inefficiencies in engineering, maintenance.
• Strategic Team Alignment: Optimise roles, workflows for efficiency.
• Continuous Improvement: Foster feedback-driven culture for enhancement.
• Performance Monitoring
• Training and Development

Requirements: To excel in this role you should have the following:

• Minimum of 5 years in an engineering role including experience in leadership roles, preferably within the pharmaceutical or life sciences sectors.
• Technical knowledge of Clean and Black utilities, HVAC, electricity, and automation, and the ability to implement best practices.
• Fluent in English and German.
• A strong focus on Health and safety with relevant certifications/experience.
