About this role
The Blackrock iShares EMEA Markets Coverage Team is dedicated to help clients navigating the EMEA ETF landscape. As specialists in UCITS ETF trading, liquidity, and ecosystem-related matters, the team offers guidance, education, and partnership to our global clients, enabling them to trade iShares ETFs effectively.
Positioned within the Global Product Solutions (GPS) division, the team is pivotal, serving as a primary link between our in-house expert teams (like Capital Markets, Equity & Fixed Income Product Strategy, and Trading), external ecosystem partners (including Investment Banks, Market Makers, and Trading Venues), and our clients. By imparting technical knowledge on ETF market structure and trading insights, we assist our sales and distribution teams in engaging in informed trading discussions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with team members to offer core client support, including technical and trading analysis for clients and BlackRock sales & distribution partners.
- Identify and implement process improvements by leveraging GenAI (Co-Pilot) to streamline and automate workflow.
- Update existing and create new presentation materials for client engagements.
- Work across the broader GPS team to disseminate relevant product and market information to clients, sales, and partner teams.
- Connect with other BlackRock teams to deliver innovative ETF trading solutions to clients.
- Develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders to enhance ETF adoption.

Knowledge / Experience:
- 2-3 years of industry experience with a solid interest and understanding of financial markets.
- Knowledge of ETFs is preferred.
- Experience with Bloomberg is beneficial.
Skills / Qualifications:
- A degree in a quantitative subject (Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, etc.) is preferred.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and German are required.
- Strong Microsoft Office, especially Excel skills are essential.
- Basic Coding skills (e.g., Python, VBA) is a plus.
- Pursuit of an IMC/CFA is considered an advantage.
