Flight Control Law Engineer (m/f/d)

As a Flight Control Law Engineer, you will play a key role in our mission aircraft team and support the development and validation of flight control laws across the full aircraft flight envelope. As part of Quantum Systems’ aircraft division, you’ll contribute to one of the most exciting German aviation projects of the years to come.

Working closely with the team around our aircraft activities, your role can span across multiple disciplines — from hands‑on technical work to system‑level responsibility.

Our focus is on getting large airborne platforms into the air and ready for real operational use.

What is your Day to Day Mission:

• Design, implement, and validate flight control algorithms for fixed‑wing aircraft in MATLAB / Simulink

• Flight dynamical analysis across the full flight envelope

• Derivation of requirements based on high‑level requirements

• Implementation of flight control laws in Simulink

• Robustness and performance analysis of linear and nonlinear controllers

• Consideration of fault scenarios, time delays, and controller degradation

• Analysis of controller dynamics over the whole flight envelope and different flight phases

• Evaluate flight tests and analyse performance of flight control algorithms

• Define, execute, and evaluate tests of flight control laws in simulation environments

• Document implementation and ensure traceability to both requirements and test cases

What you bring to the team:

• You have a Master’s degree in the field of aerospace engineering (or similar course of studies)

• You already have at least 1 year of professional experience in flight dynamics and flight control development.

• Proficiency in MATLAB, Simulink, and Stateflow

• Your open, communicative, very friendly and competent manner makes it easy for you to be seen as an internal expert.

• You are highly self‑motivated and drive your area of responsibility forward independently.

• Communication in English is a matter of course for you.
