Rail Vehicle Technician

About This Role
We're looking for a skilled Rail Vehicle Technician to join our team in Bottrop. You'll maintain and repair diesel locomotives and rail vehicles, working both in the shop and on‑site. This is hands‑on technical work where you'll solve real problems, develop your expertise, and grow your career in rail transportation.
What You'll Do
- Perform maintenance and inspections on diesel locomotives and rail vehicles using established procedures.
- Diagnose faults and repair electrical and mechanical systems on‑site and in the workshop.
- Install, measure, and test electrical and mechanical components on rail vehicles.
- Fabricate and refurbish spare parts to keep operations running smoothly.
- Document all work and maintain accurate technical records.
What You'll Need
- Experience maintaining and servicing diesel locomotives and rail vehicles.
- Knowledge of pneumatic systems and control systems (Pneumatics and Control Systems).
- Ability to diagnose faults and troubleshoot complex equipment independently.
- Willingness to travel nationwide with occasional overnight stays and weekend/night shifts.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to read technical drawings and follow safety procedures.
Nice-to-Have
- Experience with hydraulic systems (Hydraulics).
- Formal certification in rail vehicle maintenance or equivalent technical training.
- Familiarity with common diagnostic tools and equipment.
