Head of Solar Project Development — Agricultural & Food Facilities
Minimum 10 Years of Relevant Professional Experience Required
Applicants must have at least 10 years of experience relevant to energy, infrastructure, agricultural property or project development. Candidates with less than 10 years of relevant experience will not be considered.
We are looking for a development leader to qualify solar opportunities across agricultural cooperatives, grain-storage properties and commercial food-handling facilities.
The role combines customer access with careful assessment of ownership, seasonal operations, electricity requirements and development constraints.
Development responsibilities
- Build relationships with agricultural businesses, cooperative managers and property owners.
- Establish decision authority, access arrangements and site-use requirements.
- Coordinate preliminary engineering and commercial assessment.
- Negotiate development arrangements and maintain clear milestones.
- Manage development budgets and outstanding risks.
- Work with qualified advisers on permitting and connection requirements.
- Prepare complete information for engineering and delivery handover.
Local market understanding
Relationships with German agricultural service providers, rural property advisers, electrical contractors and professional farming networks would support the role.
Languages:
Professional German and English.
The strongest candidates will know how to progress an opportunity while recognising when further evidence is needed.
