Description
BMW offers you the chance to take up an interesting and challenging role in automotive software development in an international team at BMW AG.
Your role is to drive the software development of the SW-platform for an Infotainment Control Unit.
What awaits you?
- You are the leading head of unit software teams through sub-organizations. As project head you are responsible for the BMW software-platform deliveries for the next infotainment system.
- You are a core member of the software management team with responsibility for targets, milestones, and time schedules.
- The drive of planning and tracking of backlog items with strong personal engagement is part of your tasks.
- The reviewing and approving of software deliveries according to requirement fulfillment and milestones is your responsibility.
- You will enable and guide multiple domain-leads to deliver sub-domain-features & components according to all requirements.
- You will manage changes in requirements and priorities.
- The reporting progress against set priorities and objectives to the head unit project management completes your job profile.
What should you bring along?
- University degree in Computer Science or a similar field of study (B.Eng./ B.Sc./ M.Sc./ Ph.D.).
- At minimum 5 years of working experience in program, technology, or software project management.
- Proven experience in successful introduction of agile practices in software organizations as well as proven track record in planning, organizing, and executing through others.
- Strong experience in leading large, distributed software development teams.
- Experience with different software domains on Linux systems, preferably in context of embedded devices.
- Experience in delivering products that include open source components is beneficial.
- Willingness to make hard decisions about software development scope and priorities.
