Our team at the BMW Group develops detailed finite element models for accurate predictions of crash load cases in vehicle development. We continuously improve modelling guidelines and automate pre- and postprocessing processes for exterior crash load cases such as pedestrian protection and bumper-to-bumper collisions. As part of your working student position, you support us with scripting and testing of models and processes.
What awaits you?
- You will support the development of pre- and postprocessing tools for simulation data.
- Furthermore, you help evaluate and develop new modelling approaches for crash simulations.
- In addition, you support the development of data mining applications to analyze simulation results.
- Moreover, you help test models and processes for exterior crash load cases such as pedestrian protection and bumper-to-bumper collisions.
What should you bring along?
- Studies in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, aerospace engineering or a comparable field.
- In-depth knowledge of the finite element method.
- Programming skills in Python and shell scripting.
- High self-motivation and strong team spirit.
- Good command of German and/or English.
