The Director of Brand at On defines the long-range vision for marketing for one of the two pillars of our business – PAD or Performance. They do this in partnership with others in the org, including our product vertical leads and commercial leads. They then see through this vision to execution in partnership with our internal marketing team, seeking to raise the bar on how we drive credibility, connection, and action with our communities.

In the case of the Director of Brand, PAD (lifestyle), this vision looks at how we approach our overall performance all day business – how do we go-to-market in lifestyle in ways to drive increased awareness, cultural relevance, credibility and sales? How do we map a long-term journey for growth in partnership with product, merchandising, and sales? How do we do this through core PAD franchises – like the Cloud – through lifestyle products emanating from our performance sports – like tennis lifestyle products – and through our partnership led plays – like our work with Zendaya?

You are the architect of the long-term brand growth vision for the PAD business.

Your Mission

  1. Set the Vision: Define where we want to get to and how we plan to get there in 3-year plans that align product, marketing, and commercial interests. Collaborate with product, brand strategists, and the commercial team to build these plans and secure organizational buy-in from senior leadership and regions.
  2. Drive Marketing Excellence: Be the voice of the brand, business, and consumer in reviews, identifying opportunities and areas for improvement in creative and strategic initiatives, working closely with creative studio and brand strategy partners.
  3. Report to Evolve: Use measurement and insights to identify growth opportunities, adapt strategies rapidly, improve creative performance, and create value across marketing, commercial, and product teams.

Your Story

We seek a collaborative individual skilled in research, planning, storytelling, and relationship-building. You should be confident in communicating your vision, engaging with teams, and adapting based on new insights. Experience in leading teams, building trust with decision-makers, and a passion for innovation and youth culture are essential.

Qualifications

  • 12+ years of brand marketing experience in sportswear, fashion, or related industries, with at least 5 years in a managerial role, including long-term vision setting.
  • Experience working directly with product teams on long-term planning.
  • Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven success in global marketing campaigns and launches.
  • Strong understanding of the premium lifestyle, sportswear, and training markets.
  • Curious, innovative mindset with knowledge of youth culture and emerging media platforms.
  • Strategic yet entrepreneurial approach with a growth mindset.
  • Excellent presentation skills and confidence in public speaking.

Meet The Team

You will lead the brand strategy team at On, working cross-functionally and managing a team of two heads of brands. Your role involves deep category knowledge, entrepreneurial spirit, and a passion for lifestyle and footwear trends.
