Strategic Buyer (m/f/d) – Direct Procurement in Gunskirchen

Overview

In this role you will develop and implement global casting commodity strategies to secure a robust supplier network and drive cost efficiency. You’ll analyze international markets, identify new sources, and lead negotiations to shape our powertrain supply chain. You will work closely with Supplier Management and Project Procurement to mitigate risk and ensure high performance across a global supplier portfolio. This opportunity sits at the intersection of strategic sourcing and advanced engineering, contributing to BRP-Rotax’s mission of smarter, cleaner mobility.

Verantwortungsbereiche

• Develop and implement global commodity strategies for the Castings category
• Analyze international sourcing markets and identify/develop new supply sources
• Build and manage a high-performing global supplier portfolio
• Independently lead price and contract negotiations
• Conduct cost and benchmark analyses and develop risk mitigation strategies
• Work closely with Supplier Management and Project Procurement

Zentrale Anforderungen

• Degree or equivalent qualification in a technical or business-related field
• Several years of experience in strategic sourcing / procurement in an international industrial environment
• Experience in sourcing technical components (metal, cast, or engine parts)
• Proven expertise in global sourcing and building/developing international supplier networks
• Strong negotiation and communication skills with a proactive mindset
• High level of technical understanding and affinity for complex products
• Fluent English skills
