The role You will lead the AI side of our product: the systems that read, understand, translate, and match public tenders at European scale. You own features end to end — problem framing, design, implementation, evaluation, and production operation — and you set the bar for how AI work is done at BOND.
What you will do
Design and ship the AI features at the core of the product
Own quality: build evaluation practices so changes ship with evidence
Set technical direction and make build-vs-skip decisions with the founders
Mentor other engineers and raise the team's AI/LLM engineering craft
Balance quality, cost, and speed in a product with real users and real scale
What you bring
5+ years of software engineering experience, with several years shipping AI/ML-powered products to production
Strong engineering fundamentals and the ability to own systems end to end
Sound judgment: you know when a simple approach beats a sophisticated one
Experience mentoring engineers and driving technical decisions
Fluent English; German is a plus
