Overview
As a forward-deployed Data Engineer, you own end-to-end data and AI solution delivery to support mission owners in making timely, trustworthy decisions. You work directly with end users to design scalable, high-performance data solutions, spanning development, deployment, and sustainment. You’ll guide customers through new technologies, balancing fast delivery with long-term resilience across multi-project programs. This role combines full-stack engineering, data engineering, and agentic AI workflows to shape operational tools that meet evolving mission needs. Verantwortungsbereiche
- Own full lifecycle of data and AI solutions from requirements to sunsetting
- Collaborate with end users to build, operate, and maintain scalable data systems
- Guide customers through emerging technologies and tailor solutions to workflows
- Support multiple concurrent projects across full-stack development, data engineering, modeling and simulation, and agentic AI workflows
- Continuously explore new services and platforms to ensure long-term mission resilience
- Engage directly with mission users to co-create operational tools
Zentrale Anforderungen
- 5+ years of application development and full-stack engineering in production
- 5+ years building enterprise-scale data applications, architectures, and pipelines (e.g., Palantir Foundry, AIP, Gotham; War Data Platform Advana)
- 5+ years ETL/ELT pipeline experience for structured and unstructured data at scale
- 3+ years translating requirements to senior mission stakeholders and communicating to both non-technical and technical audiences
- 3+ years embedded with end users
- 2+ years deploying agentic AI workflows, autonomous data pipelines, and multi-agent orchestration on LLM platforms
- Experience managing the full lifecycle of technical product development (requirements to decommissioning)
- Ability to rapidly learn new platforms and stay platform-agnostic
- TS/SCI clearance
- Bachelor’s degree
- Excellent communication with senior stakeholders
