Job Description

We are looking for a Business Continuity Manager for the EMEA region to join our global BCM team. You will be responsible for executing and maintaining our certified ISO 22301:2019 Business Continuity Management System, in a highly complex environment. In this role, you will report directly to the Head of BCM.

The BCM is set up as a second line of defense. You will work with various internal functions, clients and 3rd parties to implement, maintain and improve business continuity plans and procedures with the goal of strengthening the resilience of the organization. Furthermore, you will support the emergency and crisis management as well as our IT Service Continuity Management (IT-SCM).

Your key tasks

  1. Establishes a BCMS that meets Avaloq’s group wide BCM and ISO 22301 requirements;
  2. Develops the business continuity processes and procedures required to deliver the BCMS;
  3. Supports and coordinates planning across clients and critical suppliers or vendors;
  4. Provides business continuity documents and templates;
  5. Collaborates with relevant disciplines to address risks;
  6. Supports and advises regarding appropriate business continuity solutions;
  7. Validates Business Continuity Plans;
  8. Monitors the progress of business continuity planning;
  9. Establishes, maintains and improves the BCPs and tests the plans annually;
  10. Establishes performance metrics and provides regular updates to the Head of BCM;
  11. Provides quarterly BCM reports to clients and the BCM team;
  12. Participation in the emergency and crisis team;
  13. Support IT-Service Continuity Management.

Qualifications

  1. 5+ years’ experience managing, developing, and executing business continuity management;
  2. Developed cross-functional engagement to get results within the Business Continuity program;
  3. Demonstrate an ability to translate strategic business priorities to program goals;
  4. Ability to simplify complex reporting concepts and requirements;
  5. Ability to effectively communicate program goals, values, obstacles, and priorities across the business to gain the right level of participation and input from key areas;
  6. Ability to work in a team with strong communication and organizational skills;
  7. Experience in emergency and crisis management;
  8. Fluency in English, German is a plus to have.

  4. Experience in dealing with regulation in the field of banking services
