What You’ll Do

You will join BCG X as an EMESA Staffing Manager located in one of our EMESA hubs. As a member of the Talent team in BCG X, you will be responsible for the professional development and staffing of BCG X Engineering, Product, Growth and Design staff based in EMESA. You will manage short-term and long-term staffing priorities, adapt to changing business needs, identify patterns to inform staffing strategy, and collaborate with local and global engineering managers, requesters, and the wider staffing team to assign talent to sold work and new business efforts. You will be a member of the broader BCG X talent team in EMESA and interact with leadership across divisions (finance, HR, Mobility, L&D, Recruiting) in a multicultural environment. You will report to the BCG X EMESA People & Business Management Senior Director.

Key Responsibilities

  • Staffing management: optimize deployment of Software and Data Engineers, Experience Designers, Growth Architects and Product Managers to meet business needs while supporting individual career development and long-term goals
  • Design and optimize team structure, billability, and alignment with business priorities; maintain a staffing pipeline view at macro and micro levels
  • Build relationships with client-facing and product development teams and leadership to understand staffing needs and set/enforce staffing policies
  • Communicate project opportunities and staffing decisions with senior stakeholders and leadership; ensure balance between business needs and individual preferences when possible
  • Serve as the go-to person for staff development and staffing preferences; discuss upcoming projects and advise on staffing choices
  • Promote diversity and equity in resource allocation and ensure fair staffing practices
  • Manage staffing end-to-end and collaborate with a team of staffers to determine optimal solutions
  • Maintain tools and systems to provide visibility on commitments, training, and time off; contribute to ongoing staffing process improvements
  • Collaborate with local and regional L&D to anticipate training schedules and learning needs

Collaboration with People & Development, Finance and BCG X HR Team

  • Participate in Career Development Committee meetings and reinforce CD messages through staffing and development discussions
  • Provide input on employee matters to HR and stakeholders; coordinate with Finance on financial allocation of resources
  • Work with Global and Line of Business People & Development on mobility programs and related stakeholder alignment
  • Maintain up-to-date information on staff, including project assignments, training, recruiting, and time off
  • Onboarding: engage with new hires early; host onboarding sessions; provide onboarding materials and initial staffing guidance
  • Support regional leadership with demanded profiles and cohort needs
  • Ensure successful new hires by facilitating first staffing experiences and early network formation

Internship Program

  • Overview of BCG X Internship programs
  • Monitor interns’ development and address concerns; organize career development cycles

Other HR

  • Answer HR questions, resolve issues with the HR team, and contribute to initiatives addressing People topics
  • Provide analytics for office-focused projects and participate in annual PEOPLE Team Survey and planning
  • Collaborate with office People teams to share information and ensure efficient operations

What You’ll Bring

  • University bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years in HR management, Talent management, or as a Business Partner
  • Interest and basic knowledge of digital product development concepts (engineering, design, product management)
  • Fluency in English

Who You’ll Work With

The Talent Manager will work in an EMESA BCG X Staffing Team and collaborate with EMESA BCG staffing and finance teams to monitor billability and timesheet accuracy, working with HR and Recruiting on talent strategies. You will build relationships with billable and BST talent, Global X staffers, CDC, and the X EMESA leadership team.
