Job Description
As a Software Engineer in the R&D department, you will be part of an interdisciplinary and highly skilled team. You will be responsible for the development, commissioning, and testing of electronic assemblies for medical devices, as well as the programming of microcontroller-based systems in compliance with applicable standards.
Your responsibilities include supporting ongoing development projects, planning and coordinating technical tasks, and ensuring a smooth transfer of products into production. You will collaborate closely with various departments and external partners to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and timely project completion.
Typical areas of your responsibility are:
- Application development for our neuromonitors and neurostimulators, from data acquisition and processing of physiological signals to the user interface.
- Developing and maintaining software solutions using NI LabVIEW.
- Planning and documentation of all steps of the software development process.
- Development of interfaces for device combinations and hospital information systems.
- Collaborating on new device and user interface concepts, and evaluating customer requirements.
- Planning software architectures.
- Implementing new technologies.
Qualifications
- Completed studies in computer science or a related scientific field, or completed training as an IT specialist.
- Several years of software development experience in LabVIEW and its tools.
- Good experience in LabVIEW Object-Oriented Programming is a plus.
- Knowledge of at least one other programming language (C++, C#, Python, Java, etc.).
- Goal-oriented, well-structured work approach with a high degree of resilience.
- Strong analytical thinking and good concentration skills.
- High quality awareness.
