Global Commodity Manager (m/f/d)

• €70, 000 – €95, 000 base salary + bonus
• 2 days on-site / 3 days home office (Frankfurt, Germany)
• International travelling every 6 to 8 weeks

I am partnered with a market leading industrial retail company based in Frankfurt that is searching for a Global Commodity Manager to join their function. My client is a well known distributor for electronic components that connects the manufacturer to the customer. With a presence in over 100 countries and a total stock count in the millions, they\’re a true pioneer within the industry that targets a diverse portfolio of industrial & manufacturing clientele.

This position will be responsible for overseeing a portfolio of strategic clients across the EMEA regions, managing their performance, negotiating contracts, selecting new suppliers & developing relationships to support expansion and growth.

Responsibilities:

• Category and technology strategy formulation, oversight, and implementation.
• Creation and execution of vendor business strategies to achieve the established category goals.
• Existing supplier development and new supplier selection to support global growth.
• Utilisation of digital data and insights to guide product selection, identify opportunities, and enhance portfolio and supplier performance.
• Management of supplier relationships to facilitate the achievement of growth objectives.
• New Product Introduction and portfolio enhancement to develop a credible assortment and promote growth.
• Effective communication and collaboration with relevant stakeholders across the organization.

Experience Required:

• Several years of experience as a Category manager
• Bachelors degree
• Experience working in a retail environment or within a matrix organisation
• Experience working with electronics or EMS suppliers is highly favourable
• Excellent negotiation skills and influencing skills
• Fluent English & German language
