I am currently working with a market leading manufacturing company that is searching for Lead Buyer in Electronics to join their function based in Berlin.

As the Lead Buyer for Electronic Components, you will play a critical role in sourcing high-quality components that meet my clients production needs. You will lead negotiations, manage supplier relationships, and ensure that their purchasing strategy aligns with their overall business goals. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of the company in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and execute procurement strategies for electronic components, such as PCBA\’s, transistors, LED\’s, to optimise cost, quality, and delivery.
  2. Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure favourable terms and conditions.
  3. Analyse market trends and supplier performance to identify opportunities for improvement.
  4. Collaborate closely with engineering, production, and quality assurance teams to understand component requirements and specifications.
  5. Monitor inventory levels and manage stock replenishment to avoid production disruptions.
  6. Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, fostering collaboration and innovation.
  7. Prepare and present reports on purchasing activities and market conditions to senior management.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor\’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 4 years of experience in procurement, with a focus on electronic components.
  3. Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  4. Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems.
  5. Ability to analyse data and make informed decisions.
  6. Experience in the manufacturing industry is highly desirable.
  7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
