Purpose of the Position:
For our location in Wesseling, Germany we are looking for a hands-on motivated HR Business Partner. The P&O Business Partner is the first point of contact for leaders, management, and team members in all HR-related matters and provides operational and strategic HR advice to various internal stakeholders. The P&O Business Partner also serves as the link between the works council and site management.
Responsibilities:
Ensure:
- Advising and acting as a sparring partner to leaders on HR-related topics and processes (such as recruitment, compensation, performance, labor law, development, and workforce planning) and providing day-to-day HR support for the defined area of responsibility
- Implementation, application, and optimization of all HR processes, taking into account global requirements and guidelines, local legal regulations, data protection, and compliance requirements
- Building and maintaining a trusting collaboration with local employee representatives (e.g., works council, youth and trainee representative body)
- Managing the entire employee lifecycle
- Supporting the implementation of new programs and initiatives in line with the company’s needs and strategy
- Supporting certification processes (audits)
- Responsible for the recruitment process, including profile analysis with the leader, candidate management, interview process, as well as contract negotiation and preparation
- Supporting leaders in identifying training needs for teams and individuals and driving implementation in collaboration with the CoE team
- Support workforce and succession planning together with the respective leaders
- Leading HR-related events and training sessions, e.g., the P&O part of onboarding days
- First point of contact for integrating the Braskem culture and values across different sites and within the area of responsibility
- Building trusted relationships with leaders and internal stakeholders
- Maintaining and further developing HRM systems (e.g., ensuring data quality, supporting system adjustments, and reporting)
- Providing guidance on HR policies and processes

- Deriving and implementing HR strategies and trends in the supported business areas

Technical / Management Knowledge:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably with a focus on HR, psychology, or law
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience (ideally in an industrial environment)
- Knowledge of labor law, tax and social security laws, and works constitution law
- Understanding of HR and people management
- Strong communication skills, high customer and results orientation, and strong analytical thinking
- Experience working with HRM systems
- Good user knowledge of MS Office applications
- Very good German and English skills (written and spoken)
