This international engineering contractor delivers large scale mechanical and electrical projects across Ireland, the UK and mainland Europe, with a strong presence in data centre, pharmaceutical, industrial and life sciences construction.

Known for technically demanding MEP delivery and strong engineering standards, the business has a substantial European project pipeline and is now looking for an experienced Senior MEP Project Manager to take a key role on a major project in Germany.

The Role: Senior MEP Project Manager

This Senior MEP Project Manager position will take full responsibility for the successful delivery of major mechanical and electrical packages on a large scale construction project in Germany.

You will lead multidisciplinary project teams across engineering, commercial and site operations while ensuring all works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and in line with client expectations.

The successful Senior MEP Project Manager will play a key role in programme delivery, stakeholder management, commercial performance and overall project execution from early delivery through to commissioning and handover.

Must Have Requirements

• Proven experience required as a Senior MEP Project Manager or Senior Mechanical / Electrical Project Manager on large scale construction projects
• Experience managing €20M+ MEP packages on data centre, pharmaceutical or industrial projects
• Strong background in mechanical and electrical building services systems
• Proven experience managing multidisciplinary project teams across engineering and commercial functions
• Experience with European construction projects or rotational project delivery environments is required

Preferred Experience

• Data centre project delivery experience preferred
• Strong contract management and commercial reporting background beneficial
• Experience managing commissioning and final handover processes advantageous
• Background working with international engineering contractors beneficial

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the full lifecycle delivery of MEP packages from planning through to commissioning and handover
• Manage programme delivery, sequencing and short term milestone tracking
• Oversee project cost control, forecasting and commercial reporting
• Coordinate closely with commercial teams on variations, claims and risk management
• Chair client meetings, technical workshops and project progress reviews
• Lead and mentor engineering, commercial and site delivery teams
• Drive strong collaboration between internal departments and subcontractors
• Ensure all mechanical and electrical works are delivered to specification and programme requirements
• Maintain the highest standards of health, safety, quality and environmental compliance
• Oversee commissioning activities, testing procedures and final client handover

About You

You will be an experienced Senior MEP Project Manager with a strong track record delivering technically complex mechanical and electrical construction projects across data centre, pharmaceutical or industrial sectors.

You will be commercially aware, technically strong and comfortable managing high value MEP packages within demanding live project environments.

Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills are essential, along with the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams while maintaining programme certainty and delivery standards.
