Your mission: export control that works
- You strategically expand export control across EMEA and harmonize processes.
- You lead the central team and act as the functional point of contact for the export control officers at all plants and companies.
- You assess business transactions for risk and compliance: product classification, sanctions screening, end-use checks.
- You manage export licenses and license management.
- You are the point of contact for BAFA and customs authorities and establish uniform customs standards.
- You chair the EMEA Export Control Committee and report to the global headquarters.
- You build awareness through training, audits and personal visits to customers and partners.
Your profile: what you bring
- A degree, for example in economics, law or industrial engineering, or a comparable qualification
- Several years of experience in export control, trade compliance or customs, ideally in industry
- Experience leading small teams, functionally or disciplinarily
- The ability to win people over at all levels and drive change in a matrix organization
- Integrity, discretion and a pragmatic, solution-oriented approach
- Very good German and English
- Willingness to travel: around 50 to 60% travel, mainly outside the EU, particularly the Middle East
Nice to have, but not a must: experience with BAFA, screening or ERP systems, additional European languages
