Our team in Essen currently has an opening for an SAP ABAP Integration Consultant – ERP & BTP (m / f / d)

YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Participate in and drive the development, rollout, and operation of Brenntag’s global integration platform based on SAP Business Technology Platform.
• Work closely with our business units, delivery teams, and external partners to provide tailored integration solutions for our global clients in a timely manner.
• Consult and support internal and external partners on data and service integration challenges.
• Design and develop specific integration solutions (e.g., data extraction, ingestion, and provisioning services).

Plan, drive, and support implementation and rollout projects

YOUR PROFILE

• University degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience in Information Systems preferred.
• At least five years of experience as a professional SAP developer and consultant, preferably with a focus on process integration.
• Strong process knowledge in at least one SAP ERP module, with willingness to extend this knowledge.
• Strong knowledge of interface designs, integration patterns, and API technologies and solutions (e.g., OO development model, OO inheritance/redefinition, SAP oData, ABAP OO, DDIC).
• Strong object-oriented implementation skills in an agile environment.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong architecture competence.
• Experience managing technically complex environments (SAP and non-SAP is a plus).
• Service orientation, good communication, and intercultural awareness.
• Experience working in an international project environment.
