Brillianza is a German technology firm building sovereign private cloud infrastructure. We deliver fully operated cloud platforms — installed on the customer's premises and run by our team — for research organizations, the public sector, and regulated mid-sized companies. We're on a mission to help institutions across the DACH region keep full ownership of their data, with transparent, predictable pricing and no vendor lock-in. Our stack is grounded in open-source technology, which keeps what we build auditable, secure, and durable over time.
Role Description
As a Backend Software Engineer on our Control Plane team, you'll build the software that powers the Brillianza platform — the provisioning APIs, orchestration logic, and automation that let us deploy and manage private clouds. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Frankfurt Rhine-Main. You'll design and implement backend services and APIs, build the automation that drives sub-24h deployments, and work on the orchestration layer that sits on top of Kubernetes and OpenStack. You'll own features end to end — from design through testing, release, and iteration — and collaborate with the platform and operations teams who run what you build in production. Expect to contribute to architecture decisions, uphold code quality and testing standards, and help shape how the product evolves.

- Experience with CI/CD, automated testing, and modern software development practices
