About the Company:

An established German industrial group is scaling out its AI, Data & Automation function, building data platforms and AI applications that deliver measurable business value across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect complex data integration solutions in close collaboration with the Enterprise Data Architect, spanning Databricks, SAP BDC, and Microsoft Fabric
  • Design and build scalable enterprise data products that bring together heterogeneous data from SAP, Microsoft, and other business-critical systems
  • Own the Data Layer on the group's central Databricks platform, with full accountability for performance, governance, and stability
  • Lead international data integration initiatives, providing technical direction and driving standardization across regions
  • Build proof-of-concepts and reusable templates, and mentor junior engineers within the team

Your Profile:

  • 5-10 years of hands-on experience with SQL, database technologies, and high-performance data solutions
  • Strong expertise across the Databricks ecosystem, including Delta Lake, Apache Spark, performance tuning, and cost optimization
  • Solid software development skills in Python, Java, C, C++, or C#
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, ideally using GitHub Actions
  • Confident communicator in international, cross-functional environments, with the ability to mentor others

Nice to Have:

  • Databricks Certified Data Engineer Professional certification
  • Cloud certification such as Azure Data Engineer Associate or AWS Certified Data Engineer
