Managing Director – Family-Owned Investment Group (DACH Region) Location: DACH Region (flexible) Sector: Long-Term Private Investment | Industrial SMEs | Succession A well-capitalised, entrepreneurial investment group focused on acquiring and developing mid-sized industrial and service businesses in succession situations is seeking a Managing Director to join its leadership team. Portfolio companies are managed hands-on and independently, often retaining their brands, locations, and core teams. As Managing Director, you will play a pivotal role in identifying, acquiring, and managing new portfolio companies, with a path toward full-time leadership of a business post-acquisition. Conduct operational due diligence and shape post-acquisition strategy Take over interim or long-term operational leadership of acquired companies Minimum 4 years at a top-tier management consultancy (e.g., McKinsey, BCG, Bain, etc.) Native-level German language skills required; additional English fluency preferred Willingness to be hands-on, including stepping into full-time leadership roles within SMEs
