Role Overview

The company is looking to hire a Senior Investment Manager to join its team in Frankfurt . The role will focus on originating, structuring, and executing investments in renewable energy and storage projects , primarily across Europe. This includes both equity and structured debt investments in utility-scale and C&I projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Originate and structure renewable energy and storage transactions, including solar PV and battery assets
• Lead due diligence across technical, financial, legal, and commercial workstreams
• Build and review financial models, investment memoranda, and credit papers
• Negotiate term sheets and transaction documents with counterparties
• Maintain and develop relationships with developers, EPCs, advisors, and banks
• Monitor and optimise performance of existing investments, including refinancing or exit strategies
• Contribute to strategy development for new markets and technologies

Candidate Profile

• 8–12 years of relevant experience in project finance, energy investing, or structured finance
• Solid understanding of renewable energy project economics, capital structures, and risk allocation
• Experience with both debt and equity structures is highly desirable
• Familiarity with the European regulatory and market landscape for renewables
• Track record of closed transactions in solar and/or storage is required
• Fluent in English; German is a strong plus
• Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to work independently in a lean team
• Based in (or open to relocating to) Frankfurt
