Private Equity Associate

Our client is a leading European private equity firm with a strong track record of investing in high-growth and market-leading businesses. With a focus on value creation, strategic transformation, and operational excellence, the firm has built a reputation for driving long-term success across its portfolio companies. The team is now looking to strengthen its Frankfurt office with the addition of an Investment Associate to support its activities in the financial services sector.

Role & Responsibilities:

As an Investment Associate , you will play a crucial role in the deal execution and portfolio management process. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Deal Sourcing & Execution: Conduct industry research, assess investment opportunities, and assist in due diligence processes.
• Financial Analysis & Modelling: Develop and refine financial models, perform valuation analyses, and assess investment risks and returns.
• Market & Sector Research: Analyze financial services trends, regulatory developments, and competitive landscapes.
• Portfolio Management: Work closely with management teams of portfolio companies to drive value creation initiatives and performance improvement.
• Presentation & Reporting: Prepare investment memoranda, presentations, and reports for internal and external stakeholders.

Candidate Profile:

We are looking for a high-caliber individual with a strong analytical mindset, a commercial approach, and a passion for private equity. The ideal candidate will have:

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in M&A, strategy consulting, or investment banking , preferably with exposure to private equity or principal investing.
• Sector expertise in financial services (banking, insurance, asset management, fintech, or related areas) is highly desirable.
• Strong financial modelling and valuation skills, with the ability to assess investment opportunities rigorously.
• Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail.
• A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with strong communication and presentation skills.
• Fluent English and German.
