Head of Risk

A leading international investment management firm is currently seeking a Head of Risk to join its growing team to focus solely on Private Assets.

This is a senior opportunity to oversee risk across a broad range of alternative investment strategies while partnering closely with investment professionals and senior leadership.

Reporting into the senior risk function, the successful candidate will play a key role in providing independent oversight across the investment lifecycle while contributing to the continued evolution of the firm's risk framework.

In this role, you will

• Provide independent risk oversight across private markets investments, reviewing transactions, valuations and key investment risks while supporting investment decision‑making.
• Monitor portfolio‑level risks and present meaningful insights to senior stakeholders through regular governance and risk reporting.
• Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of the private markets risk framework, including processes, reporting and technology initiatives.

To be considered for this role, you must

• Have extensive experience within private markets risk, investment risk, valuation or a similar function.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of alternative asset classes such as Private Equity, Private Credit, Infrastructure and Real Estate.
• Be an excellent communicator with the confidence to engage and challenge senior stakeholders while working independently.
