For our quality engineering team in Bremen we are looking for a "Product Quality Engineer (m/f/d) timsTOF".
Responsibilities
The job holder has the responsibility to monitor and improve (where necessary) the quality performance of their product line(s).
Main tasks and responsibities are:
- Ensure quality controls (supplier, incoming, in-process, and outgoing as applicable) are established for new NPI projects prior to the start of serial production
- Identify weaknesses in design and/or manufacturing process which are contributing to quality issues
- Lead improvement initiatives to reduce quality issues
- Main point of contact between product management and operations for all quality topics
- Establish and monitor quality KPI dashboards for both service and production for their product lines
- Lead investigations into root cause of systematic issues, coordinating with SMEs from other functions as needed
- Track implementation of improvement initiatives (including technical changes), and verify their effectivity
- Support quality assurance and production with assessment and investigation of individual quality issues found in production
Qualifications
- Minimum of bachelor's degree in a scientific field such as engineering, physics, chemistry, biology, or similar
- Knowledge of analytical measurement systems, ideally mass spectrometry (e.g. timsTOF product line or liquid chromatography)
- German and English, CEFR B2 level
- Experience with working with data and with root cause analysis
- Independent, structured, precise, and goal-oriented working style
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; good conflict management and assertiveness
- Commitment, flexibility, and willingness to learn
